Kathryn P Johnson (Aurora, CO)

I am a 2D visual artist with a BFA in painting from Northern Arizona University. I previously taught K12 art, and am now a working artist residing in the Denver Metro area. I work predominantly in acrylic paint, with mixed media elements, to create floral and abstract paintings. My work focuses on organic shape, the play of light, contrast and color. When working with non object ive abstracts, I use mark making, drips, and handmade collage elements to create movement throughout my work.
